Jordy Ojedis was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and came to the US when he was 7 years old. At the age of 18, he was arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison. While in prison He decided to transform his life and the lives of others by attending programs, going to school, and expanding his knowledge of the legal system. Through that journey, he learned how flawed our systems were as it related to the lack of rehabilitation. Seeing this, he decided to be more involved and use his experience as a learning tool for youth. He now serves as a Justice Advisor working with CTJA to decrease the number of young men who fall victim to our justice system.
